The San Francisco Writers Conference foundation is committed to evangelizing the importance of writing in today's society. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation. We donate a portion of our conference proceeds to worthy non-profits that encourage writing.
We also host two writers conferences each year: The San Francisco Writers Conference and Writing For Change. We offer scholarships for high school-aged writers, and members of our management team often give pro-bono speeches at writer-oriented events across the country.
Our SFWC "Official" Blog is an exciting new venture for us. Visit it and subscribe to receive notices when interesting conference or publishing news articles are posted. Literary agent and foundation co-founder Michael Larsen will host the blog. Members of the SFWC team will contribute, along with guest bloggers who will be invited to cover special topics from time to time.
